LET 70’S COME BACK–CM AND BHAKTA AT 2012 & 2013 STATE AWARD

At the well attended and well organized Karnataka state film awards for 2012 and 2013 the Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah and M Bhaktavatsala have rightly observed that the days of golden era of Kannada cinema should come back.

It was in 70’s we used to see films of historical, mythological and social that are living in memory. Such quality period and quality of films should come back to Kannada cinema observed Karnataka chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He also stated that from his regime as minister he has been helping the Kannada cinema industry and he would continue to do so.

When the veteran M Bhaktavatsala came to speak on behalf of award winners another right observation came from him. Karnataka government is giving a lot of facility to Kannada cinema industry. It is not properly utilized. Let the people in the industry make use of it and live up to the expectations observed M Bhaktavatsala in his address.

In city of Palaces ‘Aramanegala Nagara’ after 22 years the state award event took place at Maharaja College grounds on Saturday evening.

It was a good beginning as rain welcomes the grand event. There was no disturbance after the event started.

My energy has increased with this kind of award. Taking award in the name of Rajanna is pride for me because I came in his period to acting. I should do more is my feel stated Pranayaraja Srinath.

Revenue Minister V Srinivasa Prasad, Kannada and culture minister Umasri, Information Minister Roshan Baig, Social welfare minister Anjaneya, KFCC president Thomas D Souza, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy chairman SV Rajendra Singh Babu were present on the dais with award winners for two years.
